Hypnotize is the fifth studio album by American heavy metal band System of a Down. It was released on November 22, 2005, six months after the release of its companion album Mezmerize. Both Mezmerize and Hypnotize debuted at number 1 on the Billboard 200 chart, making System of a Down one of four artists at the time, along with the Beatles, 2Pac and DMX to have two albums top the chart in the same year.
