Terms of Use

You must be 16 or older and able to enter a contract. One person, one account. Keep your password to yourself; what happens under your account is your responsibility until you tell us it has been compromised.

A diary and a profile for films, series, books, albums, and games, with a community around it. Catalog facts come from TMDB, Open Library, MusicBrainz, and IGDB and belong to them; we show them under their terms and are not endorsed or certified by them. Predictions, archetypes, and every other judgment the software makes are estimates for your entertainment, not advice and not guarantees.

Reviews, ratings, lists, photos, and everything else you add stay yours. You give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to store, display, and process them so the service can work, including showing public content to other people and to search engines, and sending excerpts to our AI provider to make the judgments described in the Privacy Policy. The license ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies other people have already made in the ordinary use of the site, such as a quote in a comment.

Only add what you have the right to add. A photo you took of your own bookshelf is fine; someone else's photograph is not.

Disagreement is the point of the site; hostility is not. Do not:

• harass, threaten, or demean anyone, or target a person rather than their opinion;
• post unlawful content, spam, or advertising, or impersonate another person or organization;
• scrape, crawl, or bulk-download the site, or use it to breach another service's terms;
• probe, overload, or interfere with the service or its security, or create accounts by automated means;
• upload anything that infringes copyright or contains malware.

Comments our moderation reads as hostile are held from public view. We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules, and will say why when we do unless the law prevents it.

Connecting Letterboxd, Bluesky, Spotify, Steam, or an export from another service is your choice, subject to that service's terms. We only read what each service offers for this purpose, and nothing is logged to your diary without your confirmation.

Some profiles are clearly marked demo accounts with fictional activity, kept so the site has a community to look at while it is new. They cannot be signed into and do not represent real people.

You can delete your account at any time from Settings; it takes effect immediately. We can end or suspend your access if you break these terms, or shut the service down with reasonable notice, in which case you will have time to download your data.

Curator Co. is provided as it is. We do not promise it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any prediction will be right. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in the past twelve months, which today is nothing. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death, personal injury, or fraud.

We may change these terms; material changes are announced on the site before they take effect. These terms are governed by the law of the State of California, without affecting rights you have as a consumer where you live. Questions go to help@curatorco.app.
