Brian Wilson is the debut solo studio album by American musician Brian Wilson, co-founder of the Beach Boys. It was released on July 12, 1988, through Sire and Reprise Records. Promoted as a spiritual successor to his band's 1966 release Pet Sounds, the album is characterized for its Phil Spector–influenced orchestrations, elaborate vocal harmonies, and use of digital synthesizers.
