A world in which no violins play in the sky when two people kiss. Johann Steiner, alias Joe, earns his living as a fall fruit fighter in boxing. For Joe, life is a personal war in which everyone is against him anyway. This changes when he meets Rosa one night during a fight. Although she is also one of the losers, she has a completely different view of things. She is brash and direct in her approach to the world, always on the lookout for the big moment.
