Yasha Toporkov is in love with a cheerful girl Marishka. He is young, happy and satisfied with life — Marishka recently became his fiancee. Yasha is also happy with his work. Everyone knows Toporkov at the construction site: his team came out on top. And Yasha had long forgotten about the "left outfit" for which the foreman had given him extra money. Nevertheless, it is precisely because of this that an accident occurs at the construction site, a welder is killed, and the site foreman Mirzoyan is removed from leadership.
