Maryam becomes obsessed with taking revenge on Hassan after he leaves her to be with Hanan. Her desire for revenge causes her to overlook Reda, who genuinely loves her and goes to great lengths to make her happy. By the time Maryam realizes the sincerity of Reda's love, he has decided to remove her from his memory and move on.
