Raised in inland China, the protagonist Yangqing Lamu meets Baima, a young local guide, during an accidental trip to the plateau. The two travel deep into pastoral grasslands, embarking on a spiritual exploration of marriage, life and death, and morality amid the conflicts between dreams and reality, tradition and individuality.
