The Quest

In the remote forest village of Makkuvally in Kerala’s Idukki district, young musician Ajeesh leaves with his pregnant wife and child in search of a better future, while his aging parents remain behind. Having grown up in poverty, he is determined to spare his children the same hardships. As generations drift apart, the film tenderly explores migration, sacrifice, parenthood, and the quiet loneliness of grandparents left waiting in the hills.
