About seeing off the Russian winter - Maslenitsa, an ancient Slavic holiday that has survived to this day since the times of pagan culture. This is a fun holiday with games, songs, round dances and plentiful treats, and pancakes - a symbol of the sun - are one of the main attributes of Maslenitsa.
