Special prosecutor John Conroy hopes to combat organized crime and appoints his cop father Matt as chief investigator. John doesn't understand Matt's reluctance, but cynical reporter Jerry McKibbon thinks he knows: he's seen Matt with mob lieutenant Harrigan.
