When Shao Kahn's Outworld barbarians terrorize Earthrealm, Lord Raiden is determined to put an end to the carnage once and for all. This leaves one option: a final Mortal Kombat tournament for the future of Earthrealm – win it or lose everything. Raiden's elite fighters Liu Kang, Johnny Cage, Sonya Blade, and a few new faces kick the action into overdrive as they go head-to-head with Outworld's most bloodthirsty warriors. Adapting a classic video game is always tricky, and the sequel to the highly praised *Scorpion's Revenge* had a lot to live up to. At first glance, this animated Mortal Kombat movie hits all the right notes for longtime fans. It fully embraces the franchise's dark mythology, delivering the R-rated, bone-crunching violence and iconic Fatalities we all know and love. The character designs beautifully blend modern animation with classic arcade nostalgia, and the talented voice cast does a fantastic job bringing these legendary fighters to life. For a moment, it really feels like the definitive action movie the fanbase was hoping for. Unfortunately, things quickly fall apart because the movie tries to do way too much in its short 80-minute runtime. In a desperate attempt to please everyone, the creators jammed the story with dozens of classic characters, only to treat them like disposable cannon fodder. They show up, do a signature move, and get brutally murdered seconds later. This turns what should be an epic tournament into a rushed, meaningless bloodbath where death has zero emotional impact. Entertaining enough animated action sci-fier has a more than healthy amount of gore that I think would satisfy hardcore fans and there was enough story to keep me engaged. Not great but worth at least one viewing. **3.25/5**

Really enjoyed this one like Scorpions Revenge. I liked how Liu Kang moved into the role as the protagonist and had Kitana as a co protagonist. Together they have to work with the others to defeat Shao Kahn while Scorpion and Sub Zero are simultaneously working to defeat shinnok and the one being. Was really awesome to see. I particularly enjoyed kitana and Liu Kang. They developed them well and it was nice to see them get a happily ever after since they still haven't had that in the game's. Shao Kahn is also incredible in this movie and shinnok is pretty good too.
