Yet beyond mere survival lies a deeper mystery: scattered across each world are enigmatic alien structures known as Gateway Chambers, remnants of a long-vanished intelligence. Drawn ever deeper beneath the surface and outward to neighboring planets and moons, the Astroneer explores increasingly hostile worlds, unearths strange technology, and works to unravel the purpose behind these ancient constructs, piecing together the secret that binds the entire solar system together.
