Cataclismo’s 1.0 launch was a straight improvement over everything I criticized in its Early Access version, living up to my expectations and managing to impress me a second time around.

Summit ReviewsWill HeathMay 2025When all's said and done, you simply can't deny the excellence of Cataclismo's individual systems, and no matter what it is you're looking for in an RTS, you're all but certain to find a brilliant rendition of it somewhere in all this; however, you simply can't ignore the tremendous lack of cohesion either, resulting in a game that's barely more than the sum of its parts. You still feel every strength of Cataclismo's ambitious design, enough for me to recommend it at the very least, but it's sadly far from the genre-defying masterpiece it had every potential of being.
