EA Sports FC 26 is a football simulation game and the third entry in the EA Sports FC series, following the franchise's rebranding from FIFA. It is the successor to EA Sports FC 25.

You can have all the bells and whistles, but gameplay is what matters most. FC 26 has once again got the bells and whistles, but this time, the gameplay is on par to create the best football gaming experience out there.

EA SPORTS FC 26 provides, without doubt, the best and most authentic gameplay experience in franchise history, even though it's not quite perfect. The improvements and revamps across many modes offer refreshing play options that enhance replayability more than ever before. It's just a shame that Player Career Mode didn't receive the same level of care and attention. Ultimately, EA FC 26 is an easy recommendation and has given me the best experience I've had with the franchise in over a decade.

In a franchise that doesn't change much year-to-year, EA Sports FC 26 takes that to the extreme. While it's by default the best football game on the market, and competing at the highest level of Ultimate Team remains enjoyable, we expected a more revolutionary entry. Promoted as the game that would fix years of issues that have plagued players, most of them remain. Cynical changes to Ultimate Team make the mode worse for free-to-play players, and the game's other modes are barely looked at.

EA FC 26 is a new coat of paint on the same vehicle. The vehicle runs exactly the same as last year, but it just looks slightly different. The gameplay on the pitch remains the best part of the experience, but outside of that, the additions are either too limited or too shallow to matter. This is not a leap forward for the franchise - it's yet another incremental update that feels more like a roster patch than a brand-new release.
