It's also an important experiment in storytelling, and one that largely winds up being successful. Hopefully this leads to more titles that aren't afraid to challenge the established ideas of interactive narrative.

I truly cared about characters on both sides of the conflict, which made for some tough decisions when the two sides would clash.

In a nutshell, a good experience is deep inside the game but final results needed more cooking in the oven.
