Omensight 2018

Omensight is an action role-playing game framed as an action murder mystery. The player takes the role of the Harbinger, a warrior who appears only in times of great crisis, and uses a power that allows her to relive a single fateful day over and over. Combat is fast and built around a light attack, a heavy attack, a dodge, and a jump, with additional special abilities and the aid of a companion character. The mystery is unravelled by replaying events and joining forces with different allies rather than by sifting through evidence directly. It is set in the same world as Stories: The Path of Destinies, of which it is the successor. The Harbinger is a mythical warrior who appears only when the world faces catastrophe. She awakens in Urralia, a land that has been destroyed by the dark god Voden following the death of the priestess Vera. Using a power called Omensight, the Harbinger can travel back and relive the day of Vera's murder again and again, with the Tree of Life serving as her anchor between attempts. To prevent the end of the world, she must uncover how and why Vera died and stop it from happening. Across her repeated journeys she crosses paths with four figures caught up in the crisis, including a rodentian freedom fighter, a disciplined general, a sardonic bard, and an impatient emperor, each holding a piece of the truth she needs.
