Players take on the role of a devout priest of the Orthogonal order who was exiled after retaliating against his own brethren for sacrificing his adoptive daughter. The story opens with the priest adrift in a fetid swamp, ferried to solid ground by a mysterious stranger who leaves him with cryptic instructions, an enchanted staff, and an ancient book. Set loose in a dark medieval world where the natural order of the seasons has been twisted, the priest sets out to hunt down the heretical sects conjuring plagues and corruption across the land.
