Embrace magical powers to defy the menacing army of the Inquisition, who stands between you and the mysterious treasure of the legendary Captain Mordechai. Shadow Gambit: The Cursed Crew unfolds in an alternate version of the Golden Age of Piracy, a fantastical Caribbean where a mysterious curse has stirred the dead back to life and gifted them supernatural abilities. The player takes command of a band of these cursed pirates, undead buccaneers each possessed of strange and singular powers, and sets out to explore a scattered island chain known as the Lost Caribbean. Their voyages are carried out aboard the ghostly ship Red Marley, which serves as home and haven between raids. Opposing them is the Inquisition, a merciless order determined to hunt down every Cursed soul and stamp out the magic that sustains them. To survive and grow their crew, the pirates slip through hostile strongholds to seize powerful magical artifacts coveted by their enemies. Moving from island to island, resurrecting fallen allies and gathering forbidden power, the crew embarks on a supernatural treasure hunt against an implacable foe that means to see them destroyed for good.
