Dreams of Another is a third-person exploration-action game built around the philosophical theme, “No Creation Without Destruction.” Rather than destroying objects by shooting—as in traditional shooting games—here, your shots materialize and create the world. This unconventional mechanic offers a gameplay experience that challenges the norms of the genre and invites players into a whole new dimension.

TheBigBoisZachary HolmesOct 20258.5/10Dreams of Another isn’t just a game—it’s a reflection on creativity itself. In a landscape dominated by predictable formulas, Q-Games has crafted something rare and brave: a dream that dares to ask what it means to create. And in doing so, it reminds us that destruction and beauty often walk hand in hand.

Noisy PixelJahanzeb KhanOct 20258.5/10Dreams of Another is a surreal, narrative-driven adventure from Q-Games that transforms traditional shooter mechanics into tools of creation rather than destruction. Drawing inspiration from the experimental PlayStation 3 era, it offers a meditative journey through metaphysical dreamscapes where shooting reveals memories, solves puzzles, and unravels existential mysteries. While its abstract structure and lack of conventional action may alienate some players, those seeking a thought-provoking, emotionally resonant experience will find much to admire in its layered storytelling and haunting visual design.

TheSixthAxisGareth ChadwickJan 20263/10It's not often I see a game that has one interesting idea that it leans on it so heavily that it snaps. "No creation without destruction" or not, there isn't enough game here to wrap around the cool visuals and the issue is so egregious that you grow tired of those visuals very quickly. Boring and frustrating, the only dream you'll have here is of playing another game.

TheReviewGeekGreg WheelerOct 20253/10At £30 on Steam, the asking price is frankly absurd. You’re getting one repetitive mechanic, no real innovation, and a loop that runs out of steam (no pun intended) within an hour. Dreams of Another could have been an intriguing little experiment, but it’s a one-trick pony that never justifies its cost or concept.
