The Agency needs you to topple the dictator of San Esperito. Incite a revolution, ally with drug cartels, or go it alone - Just Cause gives you the freedom to tackle your assignment however you want. Rico Rodriguez, a covert operative for a shadowy organization known only as the Agency, is dropped into the fictional Caribbean island nation of San Esperito. His mission is to help topple the country's corrupt dictator, President Salvador Mendoza, who is suspected of stockpiling weapons of mass destruction. Teaming up with fellow agents, a guerrilla movement, and a rival drug cartel, Rico works to destabilize the regime, liberate the island's territories, and dismantle the mercenaries and criminal syndicates propping up Mendoza's rule.
