Viewfinder is a puzzle game where you can reshape the world around you by taking photos with an instant camera. Viewfinder is an inventive first-person puzzle game built around a remarkable ability: to take photographs and two-dimensional images and place them into the world, where they become real, three-dimensional spaces the player can walk through and manipulate. This reality-bending mechanic serves a deeper story. The game is set inside a simulation created by a small team of researchers desperately working to solve an existential crisis: in the real world, all plant life on Earth has been wiped out, leaving humanity without a viable source of oxygen. The player character enters this digital space to retrace the scientists' steps, solving intricate photographic puzzles to reach the teleporters that carry them ever deeper into the experiment. Guiding them along the way is a witty artificial intelligence in the form of a cheshire cat named Cait. As the player pieces together the clues left behind, they begin to uncover what became of the research and the hopes riding upon it.
